Continuity of the Loire Valley to the ocean, the Pays de la Loire region follows the Loire from Saumur to Saint Nazaire via Angers and Nantes. We will not fail to stop at the famous Abbey of Fontevraud, recently restored; then we will visit Saumur, famous for its riding school and Angers whose castle shelters the famous tapestries of the Apocalypse. Nantes is home to Anne’s Brittany Castle which is a must-see as well as the wonderful new “machines” recently installed on the Ile de Nantes. To see also, Le Mans and its old districts, Saint Nazaire and its shipyards, the magnificent beaches along the coast and for lovers of peace and greenery, the Marais Poitevin. Without forgetting the cuisine of the Loire region, which is characterized by the use of regional products: Noirmoutier potato, Guérande fleur de sel, shellfish and Atlantic fish, all accompanied by the famous Muscadet wine, as many specialties to discover.
