DAY 1 : Travel to Bordeaux.
Welcome at the train station or the airport and transfer to the city. Short city tour of Bordeaux and visit the Cité du Vin unique place to discover a universal, living cultural heritage. A spectacular journey through the world and time through all cultures and civilizations combined with a suitable architectural framework Then drive to the Hotel located on the wine road only 20 minutes from Bordeaux. Room allocation and evening at leisure.

DAY 2 : The Château-route: Pauillac, Saint-Estephe, Margaux
The day begins with a 2-hour course where you will learn how to select Bordeaux wines and how to taste them. A detailed sample of different Bordeaux wines is included in the presentation. After lunch at a restaurant with local cuisine we drive through the Haut-Medoc along the Château route between Pauillac, St Estephe and Margaux. Here one finds the most famous Grands Crus Classé (great growths) from Bordeaux (after the 1855 classification), such as Mouton Rothschild, Lynch Bages, Palmer, Lichine, Kirwan, etc. and many Crus Bourgeois. We discover the Cru Bourgeois classification with a visit to a family vineyard in Margaux with a tasting. Return to the hotel and evening at leisure

DAY 3 : The Graves-route and Sauternes
Today we discover the Graves region south of Bordeaux on the left bank of the Garonne. Here, the reds are strongly structured, dry white wines delicate, and sweet wines world class. Close to Bordeaux starts the classified Great Growths route in Pessac Leognan (Château Haut Brion). Further south we arrive at Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte (Grand Cru Classé) in Martignac.
