Between the Rhine and the Voges chain lie the picturesque villages and towns of Alsace amidst vineyards and forests. The foothills of the Vosges, such as the Mont Saint Odile or the High Koenigsbourg, dominate a harmonious area that stretches from Ried in the north to the vineyards in the south. Nature has provided Alsace with many riches that can be discovered along the Alsace Wine Route. The wines go perfectly with dishes prepared with the natural products of this area: sauerkraut, game, «flame cuisine», liver pate and delicious pastries such as Kugelhopf.

DAY 1 : Arrival in Strasbourg
Check-in at Hotel in Strasbourg. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 2 : Strasbourg, the cathedral and the tanner’s district
Visit to the cathedral built from the 12th to 15th centuries, jewel of Gothic art, equally famous for the astronomical clock, the statues (angel pillars, church and synagogue …), the organ, the pulpit and the extraordinary stained-glass windows. Afterwards tour in the pedestrian zones of the old town, awarded UNESCO World Heritage, around the cathedral and in the tanner’s district “Petite France”. In the afternoon boat trip on the Ill. After the trip we discover the European Quarter along the Petite France.

DAY 3 : Obernai, Mont Sainte-Odile and the Lalique Museum,
Drive to Obernai and Mont Sainte Odile, patron saint of Alsace. At the time of the Merovingians, Saint Odilia founded this beautiful monastery. The Romanesque chapels, the 17th century Marienkirche, the sundial, the location and the view are of exceptional beauty. A footpath leads around the rock on which the monastery was built. The source of Saint Odilia is just below, as is the pagan wall. In the afternoon drive north to the Lalique Museum……
